Our philosophy is simple: Let's encourage 30,000 West Virginia businesses to hire one more
person this year. The result? 30,000 new jobs in West Virginia! This will become the largest job
announcement in the state's history. Perhaps in U.S. history.

On February 23, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Governor's Office at the State Capitol, the Advantage
Valley Entrepreneurial Development System Collaborative will issue this challenge to entrepreneurs
across the state. As part of EntrepreneurshipWeek, Governor Joe Manchin will be on hand to lend
his support to this petition drive and the launch of this new website asking each small business
owner in the state to create one new job this year.

Excited about this opportunity? Here's how you can answer the challenge: Join others by
signing the petition. The petition will be available until May 1, 2007. The results and official job
announcement will be made public at the 2007 WV Conference on Entrepreneurship in
Charleston, West Virginia.
